Amberley :D

This photograph is on location, basically i found a corner that had a good conditions for light and that I could use as a "studio effect" space. As you can tell the light is like the light available in the photographic studio, but all I used was an attachable flash with light directed on a ceiling so it bounced off it onto my object which in this case is my friend Amberley. She prefers the black and white photograph, so I've decided that I'll put it up together with original photograph that I prefer.

London 2

These are a bit out of a frame of things we were supposed to for our assignment, but I don't always like to work in the box, so i go out of it and do my own decisions and work in my own style, but always keeping in mind what the work is supposed to be about, so it is still related to my assignment.

London was amazing! Every day we had some kid of a challenge, which was nice, my worst challenge was to go down 175 steps in the morning after not much sleep, but i made it even though my legs were hurting like hell... My favourite exhibition was in National Portraiture Gallery, I didn't really like the photograph that has won, but I came across a photograph called Old Truman Brewery / Claudia (2011) by Darren Hall. I will not put his image up, but here's a link to it :

After the London trip we were asked to put together a triptych from our photographs that have architecture, people and transport in them. I had few ideas in my mind, but with a little help from my tutor i did my final triptych, which u can see below :).

I love these photographs, because they're all dark and mysterious and that's what i usually look for within my photographs when they're black and white. I didn't think of putting these together before as i didn't think of using the third photograph as transport, but when my tutor told me that there's a boat which i didn't see at first all just clicked and that's what i've put together.

Polish autumn

I wanted to share with You the views I get on Autumn in Poland and what I miss the most at that time of the year.

I took these in second week I was in Poland, because the colours were just amazing n I couldn't resist but to go out in that cold day n look for these. I have more photographs, but these two are my favourite even though they are not showing the whole range of colours u get at the same time, I mean the forest I can see from my kitchen window looks really colourful :).

Poland

Not many of You know that I'm spending my half term in Poland and that I'm here for two weeks, so I won't be back until 7th of November. I already took some pictures and I'm having fun her :)... These are a little teasers of what I did :).
These are Orchids at my uncle's home, he lives by the lake in a little city called Miechucino. He didn't used to have home there, they built it about a year ago and now live there, before there was a small garage that they used to sleep in in summer n invite family for a bbq :).

And this is my other uncle's dog called Sniper :D... e's a really annoying dog at some time, but he's still cute and really friendly :). He didn't want to leave me alone once i scratched him n he was jealous of my uncle's 4 cats that i was scratching from time to time and he was chasing them away...

I'm sure there will be more photographs to show, because my trip is not finished yet ;)...

Light Alphabet

These are 3 of my light letters that I did. My idea wasn't inspired by any artist, it was to use the skills that we were talking about in class for past few weeks. I like these 3 letters out of the whole alphabet because they're done better than others and u can tell what they're straight away as with other letters u might have problems...

Before we were sent to do our own alphabet we looked at few artists that took photographs of letters and below I uploaded work by Oded Ezer who did 3Dimentional letters as a poster and then took photographs of it from different angles, so at some point they're not exactly recognisable. I like his work, because it was taken to another level and it's different than let's say a painting that's flat, because this piece can be red from different angles not just by looking straight on it.

My work was to show of my skills that i've built over few months even, because i've learned to do light drawing usin shutter speed something about half a year ago, because my friend was doing his photography project based on light and I was modelling for him at some point so I decided that I'll learn something from him and he showed me how it works on his and my camera. I also decided to do my alphabet using light drawing because I like it and I knew I'm going to have fun doing it.

'Touched'

This photograph is one of few that I did on Nature Walk n has nothing to do with the 'Manmade and Natural structure' project. I love this photograph because it looks a bit like painting and focuses entirely on the rose, even the wasp is not as sharp as some bits of the rose.... This is pretty much what i like to take photographs of and how i love my photographs to look like.

Beginning

It all begins somewhere and this is a beginning of my journey of blogging... I have other blog, but it's for other things than my photographs... For past month and half I have done lots of work for my course and so far I had few favourites that I will post in next post. From now on I will post my photographs that i did and explain what they were for and my own opinion about them...
